How big the nor flash is of EVM6657?

I want to boot from nor flash so I use the nor_writer program to write my program ".out" to the nor flash. Under the direction of the nor_writer, I change the the name ".out" to "app.bin", but finally I found the wrong message was that the file is too big! My program is about 8MB(release). And I found that the demo "hua.out" was 5MB and it cannot be written to the norflash because it is too big. How big the nor flash ? How to write hua.out to the nor flash?

Hi Ning,

Are you using the EVM C6657 or EVM C6657L?

The silicon C6657 EVM supports 16 MBytes NOR(128Mbits), but on lost cost 6657L EVM, it only supports 4 MB NOR(32Mbits).

If your application requires more than 4 MB, then the nandwriter utilities need to modified to match it.

I confirm that our EVM is EVM C 6657L, but I am interesting that how can write the hua demo to the norflash? Is there any method than can make it smaller? We know that hua is written to the nor flash when I buy the EVM.
