C6670 Device Core hung

I am running an application having code having busy while loop based on flag which runs on C6670 processor. At some point of time, DSP throws an error saying "Device core hung"and am not able to see where it happen for what purpose.

Is it possible that i can restrict DSP proceesing happens during the period of time say 1ms and if not happen, i have to halt at that place. I want to set/reset the time for every 1ms.

Can anyone help me on this?

Hi ,

Instead of busy loop, use timers of C6670 to schedule the DSP processing. Please find the timer examples from MCSDK 2.x.

Dear Rajasekaran,

Thanks for the responses. I was using timers for schedluing the DSP processing. I have a multiple functions in which having muliple loop like a linked list. At some point, my list is corrupted and i am continuosly travesing the list whick make my core hung.

How do i identify which part of my list traversal is corrupted?(i can't see where it is hung if i suspend my cores)

Hi,

There may be many reasons for corruption. Please debug the application using breakpoints and watch the variables value in watch window.
