SYSBIOS 6.0 or BIOSMCSDK-C66X

Hello,

I installed SYS/BIOS from CCS App Center after installing CCS 6.0 because I saw comment about that SYS/BIOS is available for TMS320C66x.

Then I saw BIOSMCSDK-C66X at Tools&software tab of c6671.

I don't understand what differences there is between SYS/BIOS and BIOSMCSDK-C66X.

Do I install both of them? or just need one?

And I saw some dependencies of BIOSMCSDK. Should I install all of those files?

I tried to open "Multicore Software Development Kit (MCSDK) Online Training" page, but service is unavailable. Where can I find MCSDK online training page?

Hi,

SYS/BIOS is the RTOS for TI's DSPs. MCSDK is a package of different components that can be used fot development, that includes SYS/BIOS, IPC, some lib's... so, you can install just MCSDK and get SYS/BIOS too. But the components installed along with MCSDK are being continously updated, so if you want to install a new version of SYS/BIOS or the other components you ca n just download it and install it, instead of waiting for a new version of MCSDK, that takes more time to be updated and is a bigger file.

Hi Yoonsun,

No need to install both of them. Install only MCSDK, that has all the dependency modules for DSP application development. Please refer the above post from Johannes for difference.
