Now, I am looking for lib/code run on tms320c6678 to implement JPEG encode,

I have found a TI's jpeg encoder codec lib, but it must be run with sys/bios???

can I used it without sys/bios?

does it support 8-bit gray image(bmp format)?

can anyone help me? sorry for my bad english

Hi JPEG encoder C66x project uses SYS/BIOS. from data sheet we have:

DESCRIPTION
JPEG Encoder accepts planar image data in YUV 4:2:0, YUV 4:1:1, YUV 4:2:2, and YUV 4:4:4 formats. It accepts interleaved image data in YUV 4:2:2 format and grayscale input.

does JPEG encoder must run on SYS/BIOS ? if so, do you know any other JPEG encoder lib which can run on C6678 without using sys/bios?

Hi, from the codec team I got confirmation that Jpeg encoder Lib uses header files from SYS/BIOS for type definitions, so even if SYS/BIOS modules are not used there are dependencies.
