C6678 1400MHz SmartReflex VID voltage range

I see that the C6678 1400MHz device has an initial CVDD voltage requirement of 1.15V, and a SmartReflex voltage range of 0.95V to 1.15V.

The SmartReflex VID codes only give a range of 0.7V to 1.103V.

How will the 1400MHz speed grade devices ever request a voltage above 1.103V ?

Have the SmartReflex VID codes been re-mapped to different voltages on the 1400MHz device?

  • Hi,

We are working with expert to answer this post. Thank you for your patience.

  • Hello,

Any news yet? I am currently re-designing a SmartReflex design for C6678, and would like to calculate the resistor values so I can support 1400MHz devices.

A link to a document showing the VID to voltage translation (for a 1400MHz device) is all I am after. I can't find one.

    Cheers,

    Simon

  • Hi Simon,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I wanted to be sure I had the correct information. The CVDD core voltage values defined by the VID code for all standard KeyStone device can be found in the Hardware Design Guide. For the 1400MHz version of the C6678, the value of 50mV should be added to each of the entries in the table. We will be adding an updated table in the next version of the Hardware Design Guide.

    Regards, Bill
