INITRD, NFS , UBI boot mode ?

Hello all ;

i am using : EVMK2H12

CCSV5.5

mcsdk_linux_3_00_03_15

i have already u-boot in my NOR-Flash and i want to load my linux to the EVMK2H , and i find that there are 4 ways to do that :

==> tftp+ initrd

==> tftp + NFS

==> UBIFS

==> CODE Cmposer studio.

me . i want to put the kernel image + DTB in NAND flash . so by this way U-boot will run linux on DDR directly ( independant of my laptop) . so which one of the 4 ways is better for me .

thank you?

  • Hi,

    me . i want to put the kernel image + DTB in NAND flash . so by this way U-boot will run linux on DDR directly ( independant of my laptop) . so which one of the 4 ways is better for me .

    Then you can do NAND boot (ubifs).
    Everything (binarties; u-boot,kernel+DTB,filesystem) will be in NAND so you can work with K2HK board independently.
