TMS320C6672 Power down ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6672

DEARS.

We would like to support that control the power sequence of TMS320C6672.

What is operating level for power down of TMS320C6672.

If the DSP power is lower than input power, it is possible to operate? Or it has to down to 0V for operating?

Thank you

  • Hello Henry,

What is operating level for power down of TMS320C6672.

To power down the device, the voltage of the power rails should be brought down to zero.

If the DSP power is lower than input power, it is possible to operate? Or it has to down to 0V for operating?

You should not operate the device when the DSP power rails are lesser than the nominal level. In other words, to power on the DSP, the power rails voltage should be at the nominal level and to power off the DSP, the power rails voltage should be at 0V. The intermediate voltage is not recommended and it would degrade the device.

For more details about power up and power down sequence, please refer section 7.3.1 & 7.3.2 in the device data manual.
