Power down one core on C6678

Hello,

I'm trying to use the TMS320C6678 for powerdown some or one specific core, using two methods.

The first method is using static powerdown of sprugw0c but this method use the register PDCCMD for all cores but i need use one core, is possible use one specific register for each core?

The second method is using hibernation give in http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/c6000_multi-core_dsps/f/639/t/106842 . In step 4 can act about only one core?

Or exist some extra method for powerdown only one corePac?

But I have one question, in the section 12.2.5 of sprugw0c the register PDCCMD act for all core the same time? or before use this registers I have first to select the core that I want to disable

Yes, there's one PDCCMD register available per core.

and how i can differentiate betwen one core and other?
is for the address 0181 0000h?

Hello Luis,

Looking at the internal spec, we can confirm that there is one PDCCMD register per core. The register address is part of the ‘local’ address space similar to local L2 SRAM (0x00800000) where all cores can use the same virtual address but it will map locally into their own address space.
