C6678L EVM and Information Assurance

Hello all,

We are using the C6678L EVM design with one of our product. One of our potential customers is asking about the C6678, the SYS/BIOS OS and if it is IA (Information Assurance)...This is our first time dealing with IA and any inputs is appreciated!

    Hi Murad,

    The term information assurance is not typically associated with embedded devices, it is typically applicable to infornation security in IT systems. Is the query related to the design data protections or related to protections within hardware/software to protect against things such as timing attacks, buffer overflows attacks, etc. Can you please get more clarificatiton from the customer about what features they are looking for to implement information assurance on C6678.

    On C6678, they can implement network security and signed and encrypted data exchange using the security accelerator on the device but the device doesn`t support secure boot and run time security. These features are only available on our Keystone II devices.
