Difference among the power saving modes

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6678

Hello

I am looking for difference among the power saving modes (active, off, standby and hibernation ) in http://www.ti.com/general/docs/lit/getliterature.tsp?baseLiteratureNumber=sprabi2&fileType=pdf

the idle mode in C66x CorePac User's Guide (Rev. C) - sprugw0c.pdf

and PSC in TMS320C6678 Multicore Fixed and Floating-Point Digital Signal Processor (Rev. E) - tms320c6678.pdf

Because in the first document describe the operation modes for the architecture but in the document for the tms320c6678 (the device that I'm using and the same architecture) appear other diferents, are the same with differents name? or other dissimilar?

Thanks,

Luis

  • From my understanding it is dissimilar.

As per Hardware Design guide(keystone) it supports some power saving modes apart from that individual modules of selected devices can be enabled/disabled for power consumption using PSC.

    Thank you.
