HALT and RESET different cores of C6678

Hi Experts,

Need Help!

In our customized board we have flashed separate application .out in each core. Our ultimate aim is to provide the HALT and RESTART option. If i set the HALT command the core has to stop the execution and once i set the RESTART command the core has to execute the operation as the continuation of HALT.

May I know what is the procedure to perform this USING DSP REGISTERS?

PS: Identified PWRSTATECTL register, but how to make standby mode for individual core?

Instead of standby mode, If you are OK for hibernation mode / suspend, please check whether the following threads are useful.

Shankari, Thanks for your quick reply.

Whether the option is Hibernate/Standby I need to do it "per core", but the Chip control registers will enable/disable full chip to Standby/Hibernate.

Can Someone provide the idea about how debugger works, will it use any of the DSP registers to Halt or Run/Continue during debug mode?
