  • Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages (for processor issues). Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics (e2e.ti.com). Please read all the links below my signature.

I recommend you to install CCSV6.1.2 for development. It seems that installation is not complete. Also, refer K2E EVM hardware setup guide for connection EVM and host.

    Thank you.

Note: We strongly recommend you to create new e2e thread for your queries instead of following up on an old/closed e2e thread, new threads gets more attention than old threads and can provide link of old threads or information on the new post for clarity and faster response.

    appricate for the reply.

I tried to reinstall latest version of the CCS. from the site latest version is 6.1.3

Anyway, I removed all of the previous version and installed CCSV6.1.3 and ti_emupack_setup_6.0.228.0_win_32.exe

Then pluged usb cable to J3 and power up.

Check the network connections. It's fine no issue.

but issue is when I ran over below.

    C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\emulation\specdig\xds2xx>xds2xx_conf get xds2xxu 0
    Error : Failed to open port connection : xds2xxu : 0
    Error : test failed

Assuming my evem board doesn't work. it also same as the other computer. I have 2 more laptop and 1 more desktop.

chagned usb port and checked again. but I can't see sccess message.

Would you please helping me. How I can make correctly?

    Thanks

  • Dear Joong,
Are you doing "Test connection" in CCS K2E target configuration ?

Please refer to the following TI wiki page.

Refer to the below e2e discussion.

  • Dear Titus S.

    Thanks for suggestions.
I checked following link with my laptop and machine. I have 2 laptop and one desktop and all model have a only usb2.0.
And from the windows device manager. It's not detect XDS2XX CDC...

I can confirmed with my K2E EVM that
Once I put the power plug then boot step have no issue.
Just I want it to debug used XDS2xx - sorry I'm a just beginner and only I saw the manual that I can connect via USB cable.
USB cable also I swapt the new one but I believe first one is good enought it was in the box.
But not detected from all of the machine.
I suspect that my embedded XDS2xx is brick.

    Would you pelase advice more.
I thought even CCS doesn't installed windows should detect with unknown device. but not.

    Thanks
    Regards
    Hubert
  • Dear Hubert,

And from the windows device manager. It's not detect XDS2XX CDC...

If its not detecting by windows device manager then HW emulator is gone :(

So, please check CCS folks on this issue.
We are not sure on this particular problem.
CCS guys are good enough to handle this problem.

Please create a new post on CCS forum and paste this link in that post, so that they can understand the background.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
