How does one know which components to install for teh XEVMK2E board?

Please download and install the latest processor SDK package for K2E board and you would get all the required packages (XDC,IPC,EDMA,SYSBIOS etc.,) along with that package.

www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-K2E

In latest release, you will get RT Linux support.

I am installing CC studio 6.1.3 and it is asking for the product families to be installed: MSP, C2000, SimpleLink, 32-bit ARM, Sitara, Media, Single Core, Multi-Core, UCD etc. How does one know exactly which components should be installed to support the XEVMK2EX board?

Also on this website there are several Linux-c6x-* files also. How does one know which one is for the XEVMK2EX board. http://software-dl.ti.com/sdoemb/sdoemb_public_sw/linux_mcsdk/latest/index_FDS.html

Please select multicore if you are going to work with only Keystone K2E boards.
If you select all then you can use the CCS for all the TI boards.

We don't have C6x linux for keystone 2 boards (K2H and K2E)

What are the hardware components included in the XEVMK2EX evaluation board? TIs website assumes that every developer is intimately familiar with all the features on TI boards and knows how to correlate the features to all the software installations and configurations available on the developer website.

What DSP does the keystone 2 boards have?

This is block diagram of K2E board.

We have following peripherals.

K2E is quad core ARM cortexA15 and C66x DSP core.

PCIe,hyperlink, 4GB DDR3, 512MB NAND Flash, 128MB NOR Flash,On-board XDS200 emulator, On-board dual 10/100/1000 SGMII Ethernet, 1-port USB 3.0, USB mini and much more

For a newbie just starting development on this board there are several software packages that are used for all TI development. When I run the installer for these packages (CCS, MCSDK), Linux source code, etc.) there are several options for different software packages and configurations. How does one know what the correct packages are for a given eval board? I can see installing the C66X software, but which of the other module should be installed is unclear. Are there software install instructions just for the XEVMK2EX board specifically?
