How to get start with IPC module on EVMK2H

I'm a freshman in Multicore DSP, when I came to EVMK2H, I"m really confused about IPC

Module. I don't know how to use MessageQ module for inter processors for

communication. I have found a example about IPC, it is based on TMS320C6678. However it utilizes interrupts for communication, which is hard for me to understand the usage of MessageQ based on SYS/BIOS. So I want to get an advice about how to get start with IPC based on real-time system.

Hi Xiaop,

I have attached a manual on how to run the IPC on Keystone-II devices. The particular section is chapter 9th. It has a step by step instructions on IPC to get start with.

Please give it a try and let me know of face any problems.

Thanks for your answer firstly. However, I had a older version of the manual already. The problem is that I don't known where can I get the codes related to the manual.

Could you post the links about the mannual's code or the MCSDK version that I can find it.

Hi Xiaop,

In the manual itself it has the path of the source code. Please have a look at it again.

Page NO: 101 --- Step 1: Modify the ARM Code
The demo source file is MessageQBench.c in directory /IPC/ipc_3_00_04_29/linux/src/tests

The DSP source function messageq_single.c is in directory IPC/ipc_3_00_04_29/packages/ti/ipc/tests .

If you install the MCSDK version for keystone II , you will get the ipc package.

I would also recommend you to consider working on the latest processor SDK which has the latest IPC examples for Keystone-II.

Try out and revert if have any questions.
