Confusion about 66AK2H14's GEL file

Hi all,

The device I used is 66AK2H14 and I load the GEL file from C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\emulation\boards\xtcievmk2x\gel\xtcievmk2x.gel.

In this GEL file, there is a function to check the PACLKSEL.

Here, PASSCLKSEL_MASK equals to (1 << 17).

But in the DEVSTAT, the bit 17 is not related to PASSCLKSEL.

So it's the problem confused me.

Could anyone explain this?

And whether is the PACLKSEL pin high or low can set the PA to use the PACLK rather than SYSCLK? It's not clear in the 66AK2H14 data manual.

Hello Feng,

There is PACLKSEL physical input pin available to select the PA PLL input clock source. I don't understand the significance of writing 17th bit in DEVSTAT register for PACLKSEL. I will check this internally and get back.

Please refer Table 10-4 Clock Sequencing for PACLKSEL description in the data manual. Please note, here they are referring as PASSCLKSEL.

The DEVSTAT bit 17 is not related to PACLKSEL for Keystone 2 devices. However it appears to only generate a message based on the status of this bit. The gel file lines are carried over from Keystone 1 device gel file. We will correct this soon.
