66AK2H14 vs. 6678 DSP performance

Overall, I think 6AK2H14 SoC has a better performance than C6678.

In terms of power, you should consider the Power Consumption Models of both devices:

66AK2H14 has up to 4 ARM cores, and can run SYS/BIOS , Linux , VxWorks, Integrity.

I am using the 6678 DSP today. How would the 6678 compare to the 66AK2H14 in terms of power, performance, peripherals, cost and compatibility with existing 6678 code.

1. In terms of peripheral, only TSIP peripheral is not available in 66AK2H14.

2. As per 66AK2H14 device description, it can be ARM or DSP boot master however we have validated only ARM boot master. All our examples and demos are based on ARM boot master. The DSP boot images are loaded through MPM in Linux.

We would like to understand how the 66AK2H14 compares with codec implementations what we are running on the 6678 today to determine if a switch is an advantage.
