I'm not sure how to use IPMB‐L I/F on AMC Edge Connector of C6678EVM.
So, Do I have to use the I/F when I insert C6678EVM into an AMC slot?

There are other E2E posts on this topic from a few years back. Several customers were operating C6678 EVMs in MicroTCA systems. This was done to access the backplane fabric over PCIe or SRIO in addition to Ethernet.

The C6678 EVM is compatible with ATCA and MicroTCA. It is not compliant. It does not automatically complete the handshake over the IPMB interface. Depending on the system you use, you may need to manually override the system to force it to provide power to the slot containing the C6678 EVM.
