Hello All,

How many peripherals (ADCs) can I connect using SPISCS ( chip select ) in TMS320c6678 evm? or How many chip select lines does the said DSP provide in 4 pin operation ?

Hi,

See section 7.14 in C6678 Data Manual:

"The C6678 SPI supports two modes, 3-pin and 4-pin. For the 4-pin chip-select mode, the C6678 supports up to two chip selects"

So you should be able to connect up to two slave devices on the SPI.

In C6678, we can interface two independent SPI devices with two CS pins.
Please refer to the C6678 data sheet, chapter 7.14.
SPI NOR flash is interfaced C6678 EVM (Shannon) using SPI0 and CS0 pins.
SPI1 and CS1 pins are available in connector to connect the other SPI device with CS1.

if you need more CS's you could also do some tricks using GPIO instead/in addition ...

Including one and zero suggestion, yes you can use GPIOs (as CS) to add support more SPI devices but you can't access the SPI devices more than two at a time.
