EVMK2H: Is it possible to make PA compare subnet-masked IP address?

Hello,

Is it possible to make L3 classify engine check only part of IP address? That is, to do '&' operation with subnet mask, then to check whether source & destination address for routing?

I've notified the design team to elaborate further. Their feedback will be posted here.

In the mean time have you checked section 2.5 L3 Classify Engine Architecture of SPRUGS4A (www.ti.com/.../sprugs4a.pdf)

"The L3 classify engine 0 is used primarily for the classification of packets with IP or other custom L3 headers. The L3 classify engine1 is used primarily for classifying inner IP headers in IPsec tunnels "

Hi,

Sorry, no, you can't use a subnet mask for L3 classification.

Can I use Custom LUT1 for this purpose? From PA LLD APIs, there are 'PA_setCustomLUT1()' and 'PA_addCustomLUT1()'.

if byteMask[pa_NUM_BYTES_CUSTOM_LUT1] is applied to source & destination address as subnet mask, match[pa_NUM_BYTES_CUSTOM_LUT1] seems to be compared with the masked value.

Please check this is available.
