66AK2H14: Complete part number of DSP core

Part Number: 66AK2H14

Hi,

I am using keystone II processor with part number: 66AK2H14BAAWA24 on one of the project. Please let me know the complete part number of the DSP core used in this part.

In all the documents, I can find only half part number: TMS320C66x.

I require it because, In the hardware design guide ( SPRABV0) in page 11, it is suggested to go to a link ( http://www.ti.com/processorpower) to find suitable power designs.

This link requires to select exact DSP core part number.

Thanks & Regards,

  • Hi Madhu,

I've forwarded this to the SoC experts. Their feedback should be posted here.

  • Hi Madhu,

That link is a carry-over from the KeyStone I design guide. The web page that is targeted by the link has not been updated to include the KeyStone 2 devices. For more information on power supply designs you can review the TI designs found here on the K2E web page. Be sure to download and populate the power consumption model for the 66AK2H14.

  • Hi Bill,

    Thanks for the answer.

Can I consider K2H EVM ? since the processor that i use comes under K2H...

    Regards,

    Madhu

  • Hi Madhu,

I would not recommend following the design example on the K2H EVM for the power supply. That EVM was developed early in the silicon cycle for the K2H and includes some elements that were not needed once the final silicon was released. The TI designs for the power supplies associated with the K2E will give you a cleaner, more manageable power supply solution for your design. You may have to scale some of the power supply components based on your power consumption model spreadsheet but there are parts that can support higher power that can be substituted into the design.
