TMS320C6657: Choosing an I/O peripheral

Part Number: TMS320C6657

Hello,

I would like some advise in regards to choosing between the different peripherals that the TMS320C6657 offers. The main requirements I am looking for are:

1) The peripheral needs to output information at a minimum rate of 1 Gbps (preferably 1.25 Gbps)

2) The information will need to be able to be sent to a transistor to turn on/off a device

The TMS320C6657 data sheet has been very helpful, but I wanted to confirm my thoughts. I was thinking of using the PCIe peripheral for its high speed, but I was also considering some of the other peripherals including McBSP. Is the PCIe a good fit for my desires or are there better options? Are there other considerations I need take into account when choosing a peripheral?

Please let me know if more clarification is needed or if this post would be better suited for a different forum.

Thank you,

Joseph
