I have purchased TMDSEVM6678LE evaluation board.

I need code examples (NOT manuals) to check SRIO links & Hyperlink Serdes.

The code examples should include full configuration + explainations.

Please also emphasize the relevant functions.

There are tree code examples in the TI SDK RTOS. These are:

Which CCS version is recommended to work under windows 10 64bit?
Which platforms should I choose to fit the EVM?

Where exactly can I find them?
Do I need to install CCS before?
Do I need to install any particular CCS version to run these examples?

1. Download and install ccs from this link:
software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html
use the ccs_setup_7.2.0.00013.exe or CCS7.2.0.00013_web_linux-x64.tar.gz
2. From the same link download and install the TI SDK RTOS: ti-processor-sdk-rtos-c667x-evm-04.01.00.06-Windows-x86-Install.exe or ti-processor-sdk-rtos-c667x-evm-04.01.00.06-Linux-x86-Install.bin

3. Now you need to create those projects, using the processor sdk scripts. Navigate to:
cd ~/ti/pdk_c667x_2_0_7/

Run:

source pdksetupenv.sh

./pdkProjectCreate.sh C6678 all little srio all dsp ==> this creates srio projects for C6678 all available boards, little endian, srio examples & tests for the dsp core.

4. Now open ccs & import whatever of the four projects you need.

5. Compile it. Connect CCS to your board & load and run the compiled examples/tests.

In order to test hyperlink I navigated to:
C:\ti\pdk_c667x_2_0_7\packages\ti\drv\hyplnk
Now, what sources do I need for this test project?
C:\ti\pdk_c667x_2_0_7\packages\ti\drv\hyplnk\example\common ?
C:\ti\pdk_c667x_2_0_7\packages\ti\drv\hyplnk\src?

2nd issue:
How do I connect the EVM to my PC?
Should I use the network connector? USB(there 2 ports)? both?

One of the ports is for the JTAG debugger ==> This connects to the CCS IDE (you absolutely need this in order to debug with Jtag), the other usb is for uart console (this is optional).

When you execute ./pdkProjectCreate.sh C6678 all little srio all dsp this will create the project in the following path:
~/ti/pdk_c667x_2_0_7/packages/MyExampleProjects

Open CCS, import the project form the above location and you will see its code & all included headers (from there you can see which c files are used).

Network connector is used if you want to flash the RTOS kernel & applications on the board, see:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_Boot

Or if you want to test the ethernet of the board.

Hi,

Which USB port should I use? I have one on the main board and another one on the on-board emulator.

All the manuals refer to a single USB port located on main board.

After plugging the EVM to my PC should I see any indication on CCS?

The USB on the main board is actually your debug console. The usb on the on-board emulator is the output of the JTAG (you can use it for debugging with CCS).

After plugging in the onboard emulator usb, follow this guide:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_Setup_CCS

To establish debug connection between CCS and the board.
