TMS320C6657: Example Boot loader code

Is there any example boot loader code (direct boot, not IBL) for booting from NOR flash using EMIF16 interface for c6657 device. I couldn't find any in the installation directory.

Hi Sridar,

The available examples in the PDK (i refer to the one installed on my machine pdk_c667x_2_0_7) are: ethernet, i2c, pcie, srio.

Thanks. Yes, I've seen those examples. Was looking for an example specific to direct boot from NOR flash using EMIF16.

As far as I know we don't have such code to share. Let me confirm this with the design team.

No, we don`t have any EMIF NOR examples in the SDK as none of our evaluation platforms have an parallel NOR interface .

Please refer to the Keystone Bootloader Resources and FAQ from the link here, where we have provided links to useful resource where users have successfully configured EMIF NOR boot on these devices:

It provides as details on the NOR flash writer and the how the boot image should be created for the boot mode.
