Today, we introduced the Integra™ platform of DSP + ARM® processors to our portfolio. The C6A816x Integra DSP + ARM processors, the newest generation of Integra processors, contain the industry’s highest-performing single-core floating- and fixed-point DSP at up to 1.5 GHz and the highest-performing single-core ARM Cortex™-A8 at up to 1.5 GHz.
The C6A816x Integra DSP + ARM processors feature extreme system integration to reduce BOM cost and board space. This BOM cost reduction is made possible by incorporating the DSP and ARM, along with high-bandwidth peripherals, 3D graphics and advanced display capabilities on a single chip.
Not only will you save money with the reduction in BOM costs, but you can also save time with TI’s new EZ software development kit (EZ SDK) and single evaluation module (EVM). The EZ SDK, EVM and development environment enable customers to demo in less than 10 minutes and begin development in less than an hour.
How can you use these new processors? You can develop a highly scalable solution with intensive digital signal processing functionality for a variety of applications, such as machine vision, avionics, medical and biological cell sorting and high-end test and measurement.
