Can you see us now? Video is everywhere today!  It's bringing the world together with life-like video communications, increasing public safety with video security, making driving safer with real-time automotive vision and providing the highest-quality entertainment to consumers.   TI is helping enable video everywhere.  In fact, today at Embedded World, we introduced two new video processors that have been described as "game-changers" for the video space.   These processors transform the video space with 3x greater HD video processing performance over our competitors - the high-performance DM8168 DaVinciT digital media processor and the software compatible, power-efficient DM8148 DaVinciT digital media processor.

The DM8168 DaVinci digital media processor offers up to three simultaneous streams of 1080p60 fps with a ton of lower resolution stream options.

The DM8148 DaVinci digital media processor offers a single channel of 1080p60 fps at 3 watts!

Developing video products with these two new processors is easy with a comprehensive EZ software development kit (SDK) from TI.  Utilizing our comprehensive evaluation module and TI's EZ SDK, developers can evaluate and minutes and begin development in less than an hour. Compatibility with OpenMAX allows ease of development.  We also offer support for Qt, Android, Linux and more!

It's your turn. What do YOU think about these new products?  Where do you see video going in the future?
