Hi All,

My use case is Camera Link ---> RSZ (320x240) YUV420 -> Display Link (RGB565 LCD). I want to display Live video on RGB LCD. But I do not know which component or link can do YUV to RGB conversion. Please guide me, how to do YUV to RGB Conversion in DM385 RDK V3.8.0?

I don't think there is any ISP module which can convert yuv to RGB. But you can develop a small piece of code which can do this.

Hi Tejash,

We have YUV420 display path and you could connect your LCD to one of the DVO outputs. DVO outputs can output RGB formats.

You mean, HDVPSS has capability to convert YUV420 to RGB565 and then out RGB565 to DVO2. Right?

Hi Tejash,

You could convert YUV420 to RGB88 in HDVPSS.

I am using DM385 IPNC RDK V3.8.0. IPNC doing Video capture using ISS not by VIP port. So in that case, how can HDVPSS will do conversion?

Hi,

Yes, Display part of the HDVPSS can convert from YUV420 to RGB888, but i am not sure if DM385 RDK 3.8 release supports this driver.

Hi Tejash,

Display portion has YUV420 input port, it can be connected to VENC, which can output RGB888 (not RGB565).

I am using DM8127 IPNC RDK V3.8.0

Can I get RGB Frames instead of YUV frames from camera link or YUV420 to RGB conversion possible in RDK?
