DM368 with eMMC(embedded Multi media card) as Boot device

Hi,

We would like to use eMMC (Embedded Multi Media card) as a memory boot device with DM368 Processor. After going through the DM368 datasheet we didn’t find any restrictions regarding eMMC memory as Boot device.

When we are going through the AM335x TRM we are find the following note regarding the eMMC boot.

1. The eMMC capacity with less than 4GB should be used for the booting on the MMC0 Interface.

2. The eMMC with greater than 4GB should be used for the booting on the MMC1 Interface.

Can we use the eMMC (Not SD card) directly with DM368 or any restrictions are present like above?

If we use the eMMC of capacity 32GB as a boot device with MMC0 Interface after boot can we access the total memory of the eMMC?

Please any one tried this before.

Sorry for my english,Thank you for spending valuable time in reading this post.

Thanks & Regards,

Siva Kumar
