DM368IPNC-MT5 Boot Problem / NAND Boot failed.

Hi,

We have purchased DM368 based IP camera from Appro, model: Davinci DM368IPNC-MT5. With Software RDK v. 3.1-based on Linux Kernel 2.6.18 pre-installed.

We tried  to upgrade Kernel and Filesystem V5.0.1 via TFTP, then we have only this message on serial terminal :

“DM36x initialization passed!

TI UBL Base Version: 1.50

Boot Loader BootMode = NAND

Starting NAND Copy...

Valid magicnum, 0xA1ACED66, found in block 0x00000008.

No valid boot image found!

NAND Boot failed.

Aborting...”

Can you please help us to resolve this issue ?

regards,

Haithem.

  • Hi Haithem,

According to the log messages the file which you are trying to flash to the device is not valid image. Could you post a link to the image file where could be download to check it?

Now, I have Uboot installed and work on IPNCDM368-MT5 IP camera after create a SD boot card to back the default setting of your IPNC, but when I open the jp2 of debug board for NAND boot mode and I power cycle the board,I revived on the serial terminal :

As, uboot work after this test with SD card, I tried with TFTP to load Kernel and file System, after booting “Saveenv” and “reset” uboot commands without powered cycle the board (powered off and powered on the board) it’s work correctly and I get GUI interface with video streaming

But when I powered cycle the ipnc board I had the same problem
