Hardware accelerators based Deinterlacing algorithm for DM368

Hi,

The available algorithms are provided with the DVSDK. You should check with third parties such as PathPartner if they have anything available

Thanks for your reponse.

We are using DVSDK 4_02_00_06 release of DVSDK. But in this release, Deinterlacing support is not available except by using resizer. When go with resizer for deinterlacing, then video quality is not good.

We checked on TI Forums, we found following link.

Excerpt of post is as follows:

"There is a hardware accelerator based De-interlacing algorithm which can
hopefully meet your requirement. It is not a very high-end deinterlacing
algorithm. We have that implementation working on DM365.

Please contact your local TI contact/FAE and i can help him to get the
deinterlacing algorithm. The problem is that this implementation is not
available as part of standard TI release packages, so need to go through local
TI FAE."

We would like to know, how we can get the hardware accelerator based deinterlacing algorithm.

Hi,

DVSDK releases do not include de-interlace algorithms for DM365.

Please contact Path Partner for access to the IPNC RDK Dm365 release

We have looked DM368 IPNC product from appro. It has IPNC_RDK based on the TI's DVSDK.
Please confirm following points regarding IPNC_RDK.
1. Is IPNC-RDK supports deinterlacing features?
2. Which version of kernel are you using in IPNC_RDK?

Yes, it supports DEI.

Hi Cesar,

Path Partner don't have access to release the IPNC RDK for DM365. APPRO own's it & need to contact appro to get the IPNC RDK.
Path Partner supports for IPNC RDK issues.
