Linux/TMS320DM355: dvsdk_3_10_00_19_Setup.bin install problem

Tool/software: Linux

Attempting to install DVSDK 3.10 on an UBUNTU 16.4 LTS system

chmod +x the file. then tried ... chmod ugo+x

./dvsdk_3_10_00_19_Setup.bin

./dvsdk_3_10_00_19_Setup.bin --mode console

just returns after doing nothing.

Any thoughts? Is there a special trick to install this?

Hello David,

Give it a try with sudo permission.

e.g. sudo ./dvsdk_3_10_00_19_Setup.bin

Hi David,

I think it is not possible with Ubuntu 16.04LTS. Please refer the user guide and the links below. You might need a lower version of host. For the latest dvsdk 04_03_00_06 it requires Ubuntu 10.04. Thats the reason it returns in your case.
