TMS320DM368: Audio Noise in DM368

Hi,

We are developing a camera in DM368 platform. The software platform is ipnc rdk 5.1. We are using Internal Voice Codec CQ93VC. We need to control the sensitivity of audio to reduce the background noise. Do we have any option to control the sensitivity of audio ?

Hi,

You can record the noise and play it in audacity software and identify the frequency of the noise. You can then use Notch filter, configure the frequency and filter it

Can we control the level of audio noise (like low, medium, high...) ? If so what parameter I need to change ?

Hi Amrutha,

What do you mean by low, medium and high ? Are you referring to frequency of noise ? You can also explore the option of using ALC and HPF in the audio codec.

The level means the sensitivity. The Codec is accepting weak signals and at the output it is appearing noisy. Can we have any option to set a threshold value for input audio signal ?

In that case you have options like ALC, HPF, Notch Filter, Gain settings.
