DM3730: Windows Xp to Windows 7 TI Flashv1.6 not working

Part Number: DM3730

Hi,

We have been programming the DM3730 using the TI Flash v1.6 programming tool for a number of years now.  We originally started with Windows XP, but our production floor (as with many areas) has been pushed to move to Windows 7.   It took months to migrate to Windows 7, including the PC that programs the DM3730.  I was tasked to migrate this and was able to do so with many hours of debugging.  As time moves on, and the potential for older hardware to go bad, I have been working to get this implemented on a new PC (Dell Optiplex 5050, for example), and I am running into problems that have been difficult to debug.  A script was written and the only failure I can see is the at the script times out when using the OMAPFlash.exe command line.  I can install the same version of Windows 7 32bit on an older PC and it works, but cannot seem to get it to work correctly with the newer PC(s).

Is there any support for Windows 7 and the programming of the DM3730 using the Flash v1.6 tool, or if there is an updated software tool for Windows 7?  I have scoured the internet, and all I find are questions from years ago about this, but no true answers about how to implement.

Any information, suggestions, and/or support would be greatly appreciated in order to get our programming systems up and running with the new hardware.

Thanks,

David
