Hi Everybody, This is Debasish “Ron” Nag, Director of Business Development - New End Equipment, at Texas Instruments.  I write to you from Microsoft Tech-Ed Berlin where TI is announcing and demonstrating for the first time a fully embedded Thin/Zero Client providing a complete, media rich experience.  It is going to be an exciting week!!  Check out the Keynote Speech on Monday, November 8th to see the TI platform in an HP client the size of a small cigar box.  You can see this and other TI based systems running at the show.

As TI is part of the Microsoft Remote FX ecosystem, TI is enabling Thin/Zero Client OEMs to showcase this exciting, new set of technologies that will enable a local-like, media-rich desktop experience for users of a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment and at a fraction of the price of current solutions.  If you are at Tech Ed Berlin, be sure to stop by the HP booth in the RemoteFX Partner Pavilion for a demonstration of a Microsoft RemoteFX Thin/Zero Client.

HP will be showing a technology demonstration of RemoteFX Thin/Zero Client running Windows Embedded Compact 7 with RDP 7.1 on a TI Davinci System-on-a-Chip (SOC) solution.  Come see this system navigate Google Earth, play Flash, and run HD video clips.

TI RemoteFX solution is coming along nicely, and really offers great value-add for customers looking to deploy server-hosted desktops in the datacenter.  To get a glimpse of the upcoming product rollout, I kindly suggest checking out the HP booth at Microsoft RemoteFX Partner Pavilion at Microsoft Tech Ed Berlin.  See you there!

Auf Wiedersehen

Ron

We are a systems integrator specializing in SMB virtualized solutions.  We see very high demand for "no-frills" thin clients to replace aging desktops.   The Achilles heel has been the peripherals issue that now appears to be solved by Microsoft's RemoteFX USB Redirection.    We're currently looking for low cost RDP 7.1 session compatible thin clients.  Any leads on mfgr's currently in development is greatly appreciated.
