8148 dvo2 do support rgb656 or rbg666?

Hi,

You are right output of DVO is always RGB or YUV. Both RGB and YUV are 10 bits. But if you want 565 or 666. you can configure FBDEV driver to use RGB656 or RGB666. Output still will be RGB 10 bits but you can only connect MSBs of the RGB an it will be same as RGB565 in memory. Rest all bits will be replicated from the Last bit of the each component.

For the DVO port, we can not output rgb565 or rgb666 format. but there are some LCD panels that support dithering. So basically, the MSBs(5 or 6 bits) of each R/G/B component  connected to your LCD data bus. the LCD will use dithering method to generate 24 bit data.
