Increasing clock for DM814X

Hi,

I've found many posts related to this issue. But I am unable to change my DSP clock. Its currently running at 500 Mhz and I want to improve it to 600 Mhz. I have modified DSP_M value in u-boot-2010.06-psp04.04.00.01\arch\arm\include\asm\arch-ti81xx\clocks_ti814x.h to 600 and built my u-boot. But even after this update my /sys/kernel/debug/clock/osc0_clkin_ck/dsp_dpll_ck/gem_fck/rate is showing 500 Mhz only. My arm is running at 1 Ghz. And the datasheet shows that DSP has support for 600 MHz.

I don't know if I am missing any other setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Margarita,

I've gone throught the link you shared. As mentioned in that link about the OPP value for higher clock rates, I assume that I don't want to worry about that OPP settings as I have got my board already up with 1000 Ghz( so my OPP value should be OPP166). So according to that link now I need to worry about the PLL values for DSP. And I've changed the DSP_M value to 600 Mhz. But the query shows only 500.

Hi,

Regarding OPP I am doing the following thing:

echo userspace > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor

echo 1000000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_setspeed

This sets my scaling_cur_frequency to 1Ghz. I have read in one link that by doing this OPP will be changed to adapt to the new value. But since this is done on arm side will this set for DSP also or do I have to do it separately for DSP?
