Customized DM385 board with IPNC RDK 3.5 version I2C random long delays caused by Linux?

Hello, I am working on customized DM385 board with IPNC RDK 3.5 version and using one I2C channel to read three analog to digital converters every 6-10ms for a total period of 30-40 seconds. On some of our scans we get a few samples that exceed 30ms rather than the desired 6-10ms. The longer delay occurs randomly around 30 seconds. We believe this is due to Linux call but what can be done to help identify what could be causing the issue?

Hello and thanks for your assistance. We checked the CPU load using the arm_loading process and it is less than 5% when the LCD is on and displaying video. The load jumps to 100% when the recording starts, single camera 640x480 at 30 FPS. Is this normal for a system that is capable of capturing/encoding/decoding and storing multiple video streams at once? I think the I2C delays may be caused because the system loading is at 100% and there are no additional resources for other functions.

Do you have access to IPNC RDK 3.8 ?
Can you try the same on that?
