Hi all,

I am designing the interface of  TVP5158 video decoder to DM8168 on my custom board.

Whether any driver available for this interface. (TVP5158 with DM8168 video port)?

Thanx

    Deigor,

TVP5158 can be controlled from M3 as well as A8. From where you wan to control the tvp?

    Regards,

    Yogesh.

    Thanx Yogesh.

Since I was out of city for a long days thats why not reply u.

I need H.264 compression on video data. Its seems like M3 is good option. but initially I need to collect the video data from TVP5158 from A8 core. Interface must be successful.

My second question is I am using DM8168 module from Z3 , for my development. Whether the architecture of DM8168 evm and z3 module is same so that the same drivers and user application can be run on z3 module.

    Regards

    Deigor

    Hi,

Are you using EZSDK with that Z3 module. Do you get any sample software which can show your capture+encode capability. Can you send some link for Z3 schematics, we can dig further.

    Thanks Hardik for ur response

Yes Z3 gives there SDK. Infact they use the same SDK EZSDK 5.03.01.15. They interface two tvp5150 and two Tvp7002. I am mailing u there schematics of the carrier borad on which DM8168 module is installed. Module diagram is not available .  I simply need to capture two tvp5150 compsite video in ,and 1 component video , apply h.264 compression, and save it on sata drive.

I contact z3 for any user guide of getting starter guide, or how to make my application to work like I want.  But no response. I am completely stuck.

Could u kindly help me . I need just starting point for my application development. If I interface TVP5158 with DM8168 processor, how can I able to demux the 4 video data , apply h.264 and save in sata drive.

    Thanx & regards

    deigor

    Hi,

EZSDK doesn't support TVP5158.  Regarding TVP5150 you need to configure EZSDK to receive input from TVP5150 sending format like BT601 or BT656. Are they controlling TVP5150 using Media controller binary or they have some A8 I2C application. Further you need to know whether Z3 is using pre-pacakged Media controller binaries or they are recompiling?
