Boot logo on additional video out modes

DVRRDK (different from ezSDK) supports boot logo on DVO2 and SD.The changes are in uboot and in a publically accessible git repo. You can refer it to implement

Could you give me a hint how to modify the bootlogo feature from NTSC(default) to PAL ?   I am going to help ctm pass video test on VM700T,  bootlogo will be convenient to do the test.     

It is for the on-chip VDAC.

Hi Eason,

If you want to check the output, you could configure SD DAC with the PAL mode and enable internal color bar.

You could get the PAL settings from the HDVPSS code.

There is something wrong w/ ctm's VDAC out, we doubt it is related to filters in HDVPSS.

So we plan to feed the test pattern to VENC_SD directly.   So far we only find bootlogo is the easist way.

I guess there should be other ways to approach the same target, would you suggest?

i think our uboot supports displaying internal color bar on all Vencs, there is some command like colorbar, which, when you give at the uboot console, will enable internal color bar and display NTSC mode from SDVENC. Can you first try this out? If this works, we just have to replace NTSC settings with the PAL.

I have got bootlogo w/ customized BMP(test pattern, 2T pulse) and colorbar.

So I think what I need is the PAL mode register.

Is it SD_VENC CVBS1 .CVBS color modulation mode (5:4  CCM )

0: NTSC
1: PAL
2: SECAM
3: Reserved

Hi Eason,

In addition to setting PAL modulation, we need to set many other timing related register. We set this correctly in the HDVPSS, so i think the better idea would be to run SdExample sample applicaiton from HDVPSS, run it with the PAL mode and get the register dump. Use this register dump in the uboot to configure it in the PAL mode.
