DM8168 uboot logo load firmware

Hi all,

My code base was DVRRDK_04.01.00.02 and configured platform to DM8168.

I wanted to change boot logo in uboot on DM8168. I had some queries need to double check.

1. May I say VPDMA firmware that decides the display resolution? How to modify this portion if I want to change the logo display resolution?

2. Otherwise, can I request related firmwares of 1080p@60, 1080p@50, 720p@60, XGA, SXGA, VGA different resolutions from TI?

Hi OC,

No VPDMA firmware does not decide display resolution. It is Venc configuration which decides display resolutions. There is api configure_venc, which configures venc. You could change according to your requirement.

You will also require to change the pclk as per your display resolutions. Please change this as well.

Hi Brijesh,

I modified common/cmd_logo_816x.c to change the HDMI timing for 1080P60 as below.

/** HD_VENC_D_VOUT1 **/

configVenc(0x6000, 0x2, argv[0], 1920, 88, 148, 44, 1080, 4, 36, 5);

=====================================================

But I would get "out of range" message on monitor when reload the uboot. Did I miss another settings?

Did you change the pixel clock also to 148.5MHz?
