channels settings in TLV320aic3x codec

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3106, CCSTUDIO

HI all,

I am trying to route the audio data coming from processor side Tx serializer pins  to LEFT AND RIGHT LOP ports..but unable to get it correct.. i have checked the control registers of codec and acc. to thier values the routing is already done (channel is not muted) ..previously , it was done for the HPLOUT AND HPROUT channels ....

Any quick suggestion would be highly appreciated..

  • Hi Dusty,

    For which device is that? DM816x?

    From what I understand, your question is related to the internal of the TLV320AIC3x audio codec, not with the interaction between DM816x device and the TLV320AIC3x audio codec?

    Regards,
    Pavel

  • Hi there,

    you are correct , my processor is just giving correct data from its side...i dont have to care about that but when it comes inside codec ,according to the control register values,it will choose the channels accordingly.... means internally circuited mux and adderes etc.. so how that is happening , i am not sure and want some input over that ...

  • Dusty,

    As this question is not related to the DM816x device, I do not think this forum is the best place to ask. Have you tried ask this question in the Audio codecs forum? This forum looks to be the right place for audio codec internals questions.

    Are you using the TLV320AIC3106 audio stereo codec (that is used in the DM816x EVM)? If yes, I will also recommend you to check the datasheet, user guide and other documents available in the product page:

    http://www.ti.com/product/tlv320aic3106

    We have also CCStudio based test project for the DM816x EVM AIC3106 codec, available in the Spectrum Digital web site, have a look, might be in help:

    http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/evm816x/revg/ -> test code -> evm816x_BSL.zip -> evm816x -> test -> aic3106

  • yeah , i have posted the same query in codec forum already ....thanks for the help ...:)
