OVERLOCKING DM8168 ARM and DDR in EZSDK

can i get the details to overlock the processor and ddr with procedure, need maximum supported value, we are using EZSDK

Hello,

I would recommend you to check the TRM chapter 1.10 Device Clocking and Flying Adder PLL. Make sure that you are not exceeding the supported values fro your device.

You could look into u-boot code for better understanding of PLL configuration ( /ezsdk/board-support/u-boot-2010.06-psp04.04.00.01/board/ti/ti8168/evm.c file)

This is my config

TI8168-GP rev 2.1

HDVICP clk     : 600MHz
L3 Fast clk    : 549MHz
HDVPSS clk     : 274MHz
Ducati M3 clk : 274MHz
DSP clk        : 1000MHz
ARM clk        : 1200MHz
DDR clk        : 796MHz

i need to increase further ARM clk and DDR clk , we are using ddr3.

Pradeep,

You should have CYG4 device to increase the ARM clock from 1200MHz to 1350MHz. What is your part number? See DM816x datasheet, Table 10-1. Device Speed Ranges

Thank u for the information, we are using CYGA2 part number. and max supported by this part num is 1200MHz.

Yes. And the DDR3 at 796MHz is also max supported for that part.
