Needed advices for capture PAL on a DM816x

Dual capture is not supported in EZSDK.

For PAL capture you should add the TVP5147 external decode and hook it up to the V4L2.

You could check this link it is for how to add the external decoder:

In EZSDK we have saLoopBack demo but for PAL capture you should change it.

I read some threads, if i understand i need to change the kernel to add the PAL preset to the current decoder settings  (V4L2_DV_576P50 in my case)

Then it could be possible to display PAL on HDMI or DVO2 outputs ? I tried with "echo pal > /sys/devices/platform/vpss/display1/mode" but doesn't work.

If i change the kernel is it possible to do it?

/etc/init.d/matrix-gui-e start
cat /sys/devices/platform/vpss/display0/mode

This should set resolution 720x576 on display0 which is HDMI.
