Hi,
Please suggest me an alternate board in the place of DM8168. Since we need it for our lab purpose could anyone give an idea about the board with same/moderate specification as like DM8168 had, since it got obsolete from TI?

Hi,
Have you considered the new AM5728? The main difference is that it has 1 HDVICP2 instead of 3 as in DM8168. It is a good option if you require 1 1080p H264 encoding with a good GPU and DSP as well. We have an SDK for it:
http://developer.ridgerun.com/wiki/index.php?title=Texas_Instruments_AM572x_EVM
The software components are pretty new compared to DM8168, for instance the RidgeRun SDK for AM5728 uses:
U-boot-2015.07 supported
Linux kernel 4.1.13
gstreamer 1.8
Linaro Toolchain 5.2-2015-2 version
One of the big complains on DM8168 was the OMX layer to control the accelerators (enc/dec), in AM5728 that software layer doesn't exists anymore and instead it uses libducati. You can read more about the SDK and gstreamer pipelines here:

Hope this helps,
