4K Capture/Encode Streaming Application

Hello TI,

We are working on system which Capture/Encode video resolution upto 4k and streaming it. We found one of the TI EVM which support 4k Resution mentioned below.

Can you please suggest where i can get software devlopment kit for this EVM? Do we need to purchase licence for it?

    Also some info:

    1. The DM8169 is not available. However, if you are interested in pursuing 4K DSP applications, we would suggest using the DM8168 DaVinci Video Processor.

    2. The DM8168 is the exact same hardware as the DM8169, and the only difference is that the DM8169 had an additional codec. This codec has no bearing on the ability of the processor itself to generate 4K video, as the codec was not related to video resolution. Therefore, the DM8169 would give you no advantage over the DM8168 in terms of 4K video.
    The other advantage is that the DM8168 is less expensive due to the fact that the DM8169 was priced at a premium due to this additional codec.

    3. We do not have any software to enable 4K video, and we will not be able to support this device moving forward.
    We would suggest reaching out to Z3 for support in regards to enabling 4K.
