Hi

I am trying to connect  DM6437 EVM On board Emulator (SD DSK USB Emulator) with PC through mini USB cable.

While i am  trying to connect the EVM board with CCS v3.3 through the option DEBUG -> Connect, it shows the following error

Error Connecting the target

Error : 0x80002240/- 1041

Fatal error during: initialization, OCS, Control

Device Driver: Problem with emulation controller

Kindly tell me whether it is possible to communicate CCS with EVM board through ON Board Emulator or not.

If yes for ON board emulator, what are the settings i have to do in CCS setup while connecting the board

If not, Please tell me is there any other way to communicate with the board?

Help me to sort out this problem.

The on board emulator should work, though you need the proper CCS drivers and configuration, if you could post what CCS configuration you have that may be useful for debugging. I believe there was a DM6437 EVM specific CCS release that you would get in the box or that could be accessed by registering the board through http://www.go-dsp.com/forms/dm6437dvdp/registration.htm that would have the proper drivers and setup. It may also be worth putting the board into a more emulation friendly boot mode, such as setting it to a host boot mode like HPI that does not do anything when it powers on, as if you have corrupted code getting booted it can potentially prevent the emulator from working properly.
