Question about choosing which DaVinci Processor

Hello:

 

I am going to develop my first real-time video acquisition and processing, say, target recognition, project and prepare for the Davinci platform skills in my future job.

Could anybody tell me if "DM6437 (DVDP)" is enough for my development? I searched for the Spectrum Digital and this processor belongs to "C6000" instead of DaVinci series.  Is it very simliar to DaVinci series? Is it very helpful for me to learn DM355 or DM6467 series as a starter kit?
