difference between TMS320DM6467ZUTA and TMS320DM6467CCUTA ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320DM6467

Hi,

Please can you describe the differences between TMS320DM6467ZUTA and TMS320DM6467CCUTA ?

  • Hello Zanzibar,

Please find the difference between the two parts below.

    TMS320DM6467ZUTA - Silicon revision 1.1, ZUT package

    TMS320DM6467CCUTA - Silicon revision 3.0, CUT package.

The ZUT package drawing is not available in the device data manual. You can find the ZUT package drawing in the below link.

  • Hi Senthil,

Looking at your answer the CUT and ZUT package are mechanically equivalent. Correct?
Q: So are the differences in term of material declaration or lead/ball finish?

The "Quality & environmental data" section of the web does not anymore list the ZUT package so it makes it difficult to compare with CUT package:
    www.ti.com/.../quality
    www.ti.com/.../quality
Q: Could you please make the equivalent data available for DM6467ZUT/DM6467TZUT (see picture below)?
It is important to understand if the device handling or soldering process need to be adapted for CUT vs ZUT.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, both package are having same mechanical specifications. But i am not sure about lead/ball finish, will check with the packaging team and update you.

The ZUT package devices are on lifebuy status, that could be a reason for non-availability of quality data. Please refer your earlier thread below. I think the similar data could be applicable for DM6467 too.

  • There is not any difference in the lead / ball finish between CUT and ZUT. Both are Pb free BGAs. Followed are the package outline files for the two designators.  In the notes section at the bottom of the drawing states Pb free. The difference between the two is with the C4 bump metallurgy. ZUT is eutectic SnPb, whereas CUT is SnAg.
