My company uses a DM6446 Video Board as the core processor. Our product is a facial recognition product that is used in the security industry. This DM6446 Video Board was developed 7 to 10 years ago by a 3rd party developer who also manufactures the board and continues to sell it to many customers including us. The board is running MontaVista Linux 2.6.18. My engineering staff believes that MontaVista Linux 2.6 has patches that go as high as 2.6.39. Some of our customers believe that we should be running 2.6.39 to eliminate as many of the security vulnerabilities as possible. However, the 3rd party manufacturer has concerns that the DM6446 driver as well as the DVSDK won't be compatible with any other Linux version and patch level than 2.6.18. In fact, they have tried 2.6.32 and experienced some issues.
Is there any documentation from TI which documents the highest patch level of MontaVista 2.6 for which the DM6446 driver as well as the DVSDK supports?
