is it feasible to run the 375MHz speed grade OMAP-L138 with a 1.3V core voltage (normally it would be 1.2V).  We'd like to have the same board design and be able to populate either 456MHz or 375MHz parts without changing anything, as long as there's no short or long term damage possible.

      Hi

The 375 MHz parts have a spec of 1.2V+10% (1.32V) as listed in the datasheet.
What is your power supply max etc, for the 456 MHz part / board?

What is your target power on hours requirement

      Regards

      Mukul

we're designing it now... but honestly it seems like we can't find a common overlapping voltage without having ridiculously tight voltage regulator tolerances - not even worth it.

this is for 24/7 continuous operation.  Which brings up a good point - is there some kind of hours of lifetime type of rating for the 'L138 that I can see?

      Thanks!

There is a recommended power on hours section in the OMAPL138 datasheet (Pg 80)

      Regards

      Mukul
