I have a customer who wants to add USB 3.0 host capabilities to his current OMAP-L138 system. He wants to add this for real time data logging to an external hard drive. The part that he referenced in his initial inquiry was the TUSB1310A. To my knowledge, the OMAP-L138 does not have a ULPI or PIPE3 interface and so this device will not be a direct implementation option. The other options that I could think of would be the TUSB7320 or 7340 but the OMAP-L1 series does not have PCIe.
From what I can gather, adding USB 3.0 support is not going to be possible with the OMAP-L1 series but I believe I might be missing something.
Any insight or advice offered is greatly appreciated.
